This week we start with the still revolutionary sounds of John Coltrane with Eric Dolphy. Next is a major investigation of DJ/Producer/& Label owner Joe Claussell. We close with a sampling of music by Djavan, a major Brazilian songwriter. He’s joined by Renato Vargas, Be Happy & Kiko Continentino, Arthur Maia & Claudio Zoli, Lenine, Caetano Veloso, Sandra de Sa, Rosa Passos, Gal Costa, Angela Roro and Ze Ricardo.

We close with a total of 15 different versions of Herbie Hancock songs featuring: Jon Lucien, Bobby Hutcherson, Dianna Reeves/Geri Allen, Robert Glasper, Leny Andrade, SF Jazz Collective, Chano Dominguez, Jazz Jamaica Allstars, The Blue Note 7, Ahmad Jamal, Norman Connors, Howard Johnson, and Quincy Jones.
