Both Mtume and Kalamu are "from" New Orleans—and now we are a long way from New Orleans. We planned this week’s selections (Jerry Butler, Fertile Ground, Sade and Timmy Thomas) before evacuating. We are on the road but we will continue. This one is for all of us on the road and for all of us who didn’t make it to the road. We know what it means to miss New Orleans and it ain’t nothing nice.
