I did not know Fed was the arranger. I heard him play with his own bank in London a few years back. I was more familiar with Maceo. I saw him at the North Sea Jazz festival years ago and a few months ago playing with Prince.

I have some ctaching up to do with my listening. I read the Janelle Monae liner notes but have not listed to the SXSW concert yet, interesting to hear you describe her as the granddaughter of funkadelic (I paraphrase).
