It's obvious that Columbia would pair the Emotions with Maurice White and Charles Stepney in the producer's chair that the blend of gospel, funk and soul would show up heavily in the songs. One cannot overlook the biggest seller "Best of my Love" as it stayed in the number 1 spot on the Billboard charts in the mid seventies. "We go through changes" is the Bomb! It's too bad that it only lasted for about 30 seconds on that "Flowers" album. Should've been much longer, but that was Maurice White's trademark, the little interludes or teasers in-between songs on all of his produced albums.
