This is the one for a picnic, for sitting on the lakefront, for a brunch with a bunch of friends, for a springtime jump-up just ‘cause the sun is shining and everything’s good—well, not really everything. We all have a ton of issues to deal with but just for a moment, one silly little enjoyable moment, can da people have a good time?
This song is so “on the one” that it doesn’t seem to matter what kind of treatment you give it, the song always comes out sounding good. There are not many songs that are as versatile as “Everybody Loves the Sunshine.” Big ups to Roy for writing this one.
