this review aint doing EBRAHIM any favors. for you to say that his own works don't match his covers i find quite idiotic. the guy was nominated for a Juno (the canadian grammy equivalent). if that aint proof that his own stuff is good then you're obviously hard of hearing.

typical R&B? take a listen buddy it aint even close to typical. some of the most refreshing shit i've heard in a while. ne-yo, trey, jamie foxx. that's typical. this aint.

i think with regards to you knocking him for being "rehearsed" or jacking ATCQ, the only question i pose to you is: can you do it?

Tight! DJ Sayeed's downloads are full of REVOLUTION Music. 'Nuff said.

Ebrahim is talented as evidenced in the songs and videos. Sounds more like a typical up and coming R&B artist, but still good.

In terms of the videos however, “D’Angelo / Lupe / Joni Mitchell Cover” should give kudos to Tribe Called Quest too. He jacked or interpolated the beat from them, albeit via beat-box and sampling.

“Bob Marley-Fugees-The Roots cover" was a little rehearsed but good. Gives a different connotation to the term "Stool sample". Also, him singing "I can't remember the rest of the words of the song???" LOL!
