I was wondering when you cats were going to do some sounds—some jazz. I like these selections. I like Miles and I like Eddie Jefferson. I was not aware of this vocal version of "Bitches Brew" a Miles album I like, even when it first came out. You are all playing wild and free, though, especially in light of the recent controversy and the attacks on black male use of language in disparaging women—you know the bitch and "ho" sort of thing that many are claiming originated in the ghetto and exhibited much too often in gangsta rap albums and videos. And all this verbal misogyny has caused white media personalities to misbehave to bring down the refinement of American culture. I was just recently reading a review of On the Corner,, another experimental Miles album and its influence in developing new popular musical genres, and the negative criticism of the album cover. But it seems too many are missing the point of what is happening here—true art enhances, it does not diminish. Long live Miles. Long live Eddie Jefferson! Long Live BoL!
