As there have been many covers of this song, most tend to stay with the original format - a serious ballad on an expository trip about life changes. Now if I had to rate each song posted this week, it would go something like this. Everything Must Change (BOL Calalog version): -Jones/Ighner - The Original! Solemn, mystical, almost spiritual. {Thanks for the info, as I learned that this was the version that all others came from.} -George Benson - Soulful and Classic, with guitar riffs to boot! -Randy Crawford - Classic, sultry, simple orchestration...true to the original. -Nina Simome - In her own world! Deeper, Bluesier, and Richer! The low tones of her voice surpass Benson and Ighner. -Carmen McRae - Just as good as Nina Simone but for some reason she sounds more sassier. Don't know what is up with the Mystical Musical Bossa Nova Interlude though. -Marijah - Lightweight Reggae... Song sounds too happy and bouncy! I can appreciate the music, but I don't know why I can't take this song seriously.
