I saw a short clip with who I think is Grace Jones a few years ago. She was dressed all in white and was singing on stage during a fashion show. Models were coming and going and she was in the middle singing her heart out. I was blown away and have never forgotten it. Could someone please help me? I saw the site “the world of grace jones”. On this site there where a few quotes by the lady I’m very interested in getting hold of. The problem is that I think the server is down for good. Anyone who knows where I can find them/got them? PLEASE!!!

I stumbled on this website after a conversation with my 15 year old daughter, who had asked me who are your inspirations in life.Like a flash i said Grace Jones. She of course had never heard of her and asked who she was and what she had done. How do explain an icon, an image of female prefection and of course someone who has for all her life and will continue to do so go againist what we prieceve as the norm.
I told my daughter when i first heard or came across Grace Jones i was totally blown away and my admiration and intrigue for this person was almost unexplainable. Am sure many fans will understand what i mean, and after all these years she remains there.Well done Grace.xxx

Ha! This is just great. I’m a huge Grace Jones fans who loves to taunt my dear friends with Jones’ music. Most of my friends are scared to death by her; her stunning appearance: tall and terrifying profile, flat and muscular chest – plus her mannish sing-speak. Jones is and will always be a source of inspiration.

I love the choice of music this week and of course, the commentaries are insanely illuminating. Grace Jones is an amazing, rare being. Something about her is magnetic and liberating!!! I think women like Joi are heir to Jones’ boldness.
